(Fall 2023) We thank NIH/NIGMS for providing a supplement grant associate with our R35 MIRA. We acquired a MALS light scattering system.
(Summer 2023) After earning an Master's degree from the UTRGV biology, Bianca joined us as a Research Associate I. Welcome Bianca. Later this summer, Cristina (a physics undergraduate student) will join us as a summer research assistant. In the upcoming semester, Lois will join us, too.
(Spring 2023) Miranda accepted an offer from the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at the UT Health Science Center San Antonio (with a 4-year full scholarship) after deliberating between four pre-matched school offers. Congratulations!
(Summer 2022) Dr. Sadaf Shehzad, Ms. Huda Abbood, and Mr. Brandon Shields joined us. More people, more science, and more fun. Welcome all!
(Spring 2022) Miranda successfully defended her master's thesis and graduated. Congratulations on your achievements! She will keep exploring the beauty of DNA-binding proteins as a Research Associate.

(Summer 2021) Fatema Tuz Zohra, a graduate student in mechanical engineering successfully defend her master's thesis. She is moving to the Penn State University to pursue a PhD. Congratulations!

(Fall 2020) The single-molecule biophysics lab welcomes Ms. Miranda Molina. She will explore single-molecule DNA-protein interaction study as a Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BCMB) master's student.
